It all began over 35 years ago, when the Kreft family entered the world of catering, with a wealth of knowledge of butchery, catering & customer service, they created "The World Of Food", but not forgetting their heritage of great British fayre.
Their concept was simple, to create a dining experience that all could enjoy, they created the vast menu, and a dining experience that we know today as "The World of Food".
The Kreft family knowledge of our industry is unrivalled, with working and owning some of the nations most renowned public houses and restaurants. The Swan Hotel at Aberford (West Yorkshire), was famed for its award-wining Cygnet restaurant & traditional pub, serving "The World of Food".
They continued the tradition at one of the most iconic pubs in North Yorkshire, The Bridge Inn, at Stapleton, where for the past 20 years they have provided one of the best food offerings around the North East - arguably the best Sunday roast in the North.
Warren Kreft’s passion became apparent at a very early age, he began working at The Swan, alongside his father in the kitchens. He always loved the concept of food being limitless, creating numerous dishes from one single ingredient, creating a homely yet refined dining experience.
The Herdsman’s offering is where Warren and his team take back the great tradition of the British pub, something that has now almost been lost to history. With food being sourced from local farmers, suppliers & brewers, joining together to support our heritage, we bring you The Taste of Tradition!
